The Whale is back!

The Whalers were originally members of the WHA, and known as the New England Whalers during the 70's. They became the Hartford Whalers when they joined the NHL in 1979, where they resided for 18 years before bowing out to move down south. Gordie Howe played his final full season for the Whalers at age 51 and "Mr.Hockey" helped them into the playoffs that year before finally retiring.
