Many of the games dominant players have made their home in both Olympia Stadium and "The Joe".  Gordie Howe, Steve Yzerman, and Terry Sawchuck all worked their craft in one of these 2 barns, helping lead the Detroit Red Wings to the 3rd most Stanley Cups in NHL history.

The Wings logo hasn't changed much over the years and neither has the consistency of greatness within the franchise.  The Red Wings have made the playoffs in 23 of the last 25 seasons, including the last 18 in a row, which is no small feat considering the competitiveness  of the game.
