Back in the day, Bostons' ownership came up up with a nickname that portrayed an untamed animal displaying speed, agility, and cunning. "Bruins", an Old English word used for brown bears in classic folk-tales was chosen, and ever since then some of the best players to play the game have been in Beantown.
Perhaps the best in NHL History, Bobby Orr played for the Bruins and won 8 consecutive awards as the NHL's top defenseman. In addition to Orr, Phil Esposito, Gerry Cheevers, Cam Neely, Ray Bourque, and Terry O'Reilly are beloved Boston legends.
By the way, the Bruins were the first team to test and use the Zamboni in 1954. Apparently we used shovels before that.
**Shirts L and XL run a tad small, so order accordingly. If you are normally a medium, order a large, if normally a large, order an extra large.**
